Entrance and living room
Enter the almost 4 m high hall through the beautiful wooden front door. Steps lead from here down and back to the lovely living room with a sofa bed. The beautiful (3 m high) round ceiling and walls immediately give you the feeling of having gone back in time.
Between the hall and bedroom in the hallway there are 2 niches offering sufficient storage space.
A second, ancient staircase made of stone leads from the entrance hall to the first floor.
Kitchen
The house has a nice spacious kitchen with many authentic details. The beautiful wooden counter-top with double sink is 3.26 m long. There is plenty of space in the kitchen, more than enough for storage. And there is plenty of equipment including an electric stove with oven, fridge with freezer compartment, and a coffee maker. The French windows rise high above the friendly alley in which the house is located, which means people can’t look in
Bathroom
The tiled bathroom is located in the former medieval kitchen, and beautiful details such as the former oven and fireplace are still present. It is equipped with a shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. Light enters in through a dome in the roof, which has been placed over the original opening.
Bedroom
Climbing the authentic (restored) wooden staircase, you reach the second floor.
Here is where the living room can be found, and the air conditioning! There is a view over part of the village through the window at the front.
Bedroom mezzanine
Halfway up the stairs to the first floor, you reach the landing, where a second bedroom is located.
Terrace
The rear of the house on the second floor has a welcoming roof terrace. Here you can relax with a small group of friends or enjoy the view over the outer ring of Pyrgi.
Environment
This unique property is located in one of the beautiful streets of the Mastic town of Pyrgi. You can walk straight into the village from the wild nature or the Mastic fields. The house is located near the historic centre of Pyrgy, where you will find restaurants and other facilities, such as a supermarket with fresh produce, hairdresser, bank, post office, pharmacy, and even a small hospital. The nearest exit road to the capital is only 3 minutes away, so you can reach Chios Town within half an hour. Chios airport is 20 minutes away. There are many beautiful beaches (from pure nature to luxury) spread over the island. The nearest is 4 km away, while Komi Beach (with sunbeds and service) is 7 km away.
